Clive was a township in Middlewich Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 6766), which became part of Winsford Civil Parish in 1936. It had a population of 102 in 1801, 155 in 1851 and 147 in 1901. Until 1936 parts of Clive and Clive Green were in Stanthorne civil parish.
The population of Winsford civil parish was 12738 in 1951.

GOOSTREY
A civil parish (SJ 7770) created in 1936 by uniting the townships of Blackden and Goostrey cum Barnshaw.
Goostrey cum Barnshaw was a township and chapelry in Sandbach Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 7770), which became part of Goostrey civil parish in 1936. It included the hamlets of Barnshaw, Jodrell Bank (part), Shawcroft and Winterbottom, and had a population of 231 in 1801, 268 in 1851 and 352 in 1901.
Blackden was a township in Goostrey chapelry of Sandbach Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 7870), which became part of Goostrey civil parish in 1936. It had a population of 136 in 1801, 164 in 1851 and 110 in 1901.
The population of Goostrey civil parish was 794 in 1951.
